Bright Prospect offers different forums for educated professionals to give back to students in the program. For example, Career Exploration Day is an excellent opportunity for local professionals to spend an afternoon and inspire some of our remarkable students interested in learning about your industry and career. We welcome you to meet with a group of our high school and college students to share your story, answer questions about your industry and provide insight and perspective into the workplace. For Professional Development Week, we invite you to speak to our college students and provide tips on writing resumes and cover letters, preparing for interviews, networking, and conducting job searches. Career Exploration Day and Professional Development Week are held annually during the months of July and August.
You can also consider joining our Business Advisory Council, which is composed of local professionals who meet every 6-7 weeks to discuss how Bright Prospect can increase its presence in the community and increase opportunities for students and alumni to obtain employment at local firms.
College students can assist on projects such as mentoring, reviewing personal insight questions for high school juniors, and helping at one of our programming events.
Programming Events include:
Career Exploration Day
College Decision Days
Professional Development Week
Sophomore and Junior Cultural Crew Connects
