200 Students Attend Senior Day

Even though school is out, Bright Prospect is still busy buzzing with summer programming.  One such event helps former high school juniors transition into their senior year of high school.  On Senior Day, held on June 13, rising Bright Prospect high school seniors met their senior year coaches, with their junior year coaches helping facilitate the transition. The activities included a New Friends Bingo icebreaker for students to get to know students in the program who attend other schools. Senior team coaches Edgar Arreola, Karen Beckers, Chris Brown, and Jimmy Sanchez introduced themselves and went over the milestones and expectations of senior year, which included expected conduct and an academic calendar of important deadlines. Other presentation topics included standardized tests such as the SAT, types of institutions, majors, college research, college lists, and financial aid.
